Six Reasons Why This Economic Recession May Actually Be Good For You!

Economic recession is BAD!! Of course, I mean who likes walking around with less money in their pocket or bank account, right?
Now having said that, a situation no matter how bad, has some upside to it. So let's take a second look at this economic crisis and see how it can actually work for you.
Six reasons why this economic recession is good for your health :

More Walking , Less Driving:
With less money to spend these days, you probably need to look for ways to cut down on expenses right? Then walk more.
Now,  unless you have arthritis, which you probably don't, this economic crisis provides you with an opportunity to walk more. A brisk walk for just 30 minutes at a stretch per day can do loads in improving your overall health (especially heart and lungs efficiency) says W. H. O. in their recommended daily minimum exercise. So if you have to go somewhere less than 45 minutes walk from where you are, then you should be thinking of walking down there instead of driving. By so doing, you gain three things:

1. You save money on fuel consumption
2. You improve your heart and lungs efficiency and
3. You probably will learn a short cut or two (use Google Maps)
Talk about killing 3 birds with a single stone throw, right?

There's still some more.
Another good thing you get from walking the distance is that you improve the strength and endurance of your leg muscles. This is particularly important for people who are office workers and who rarely get to walk around much. So try walking to your office, to a friend's house, to the local market, etc.

Reasons number 5 and 6 why this recession is a good thing?

LESS FOOD.

Another upside to this whole economic climate is that you get an opportunity to cut down on your consumption of food, especially the JUNK KIND. Food is good  (I LOVE TO EAT!!). But with less money to spend, save up by cutting out your junk food (both the expensive and low cost) if not totally, then at least most of it. You will be doing your pocket (and your body) a whole lot of good: especially since you probably have less time to hit the gym and work it out, with your boss cranking up the pressure to increase productivity.

This is also a great time to substitute your lunch for fruits, some of which are way less expensive anyway. Part if you work and walk alot, taking an exclusively fruits lunch is a great idea to stock up on the much needed vitamins that your body needs to maximise your exercising, repair itself, release stress and burn fat (yeah, vitamins help the body do all that).

So don't gloomy worrying like the rest of the world complaining about how the economy is run down and how things are not going great. That can only give you depression and hypertension (as of the situation is not bad enough already). Go to work, do the best you can and make the best of your situation to improve your health. So when the economy rebounds (as it is bound to do), you will have enough good health to enjoy all your work!!
There really is good in every bad situation!!
